MP3's

[--------------------------------------------------------------------]

These are the recordings of many of my college performances, both as cellist and as composer.
Notes: The Bach and Franck sonatas came from a recital at I gave as a graduate student at Louisiana State University. The night before that concert, I happened to have a glass coke bottle in my left hand and was going up a set of concrete stairs when I tripped and fell, cutting my left hand open a good inch and a half, below the pinky. I spent a couple hours in the emergency room, obviously, and got it sewn closed, but we weren't sure I would even be able to play all of my recital. Anyway, it was one of the best-attended recitals I ever put on, and I managed to go straight through the first half without even a break between these two sonatas. Intonation on the opening movement of the Bach is noticably shakey, and that's the reason why.

Most of these are original compositions, and many were written while I was at Louisiana State University. See my SongPoems for texts to all the works with lyrics, and please e-mail (elidavis AT beamrider DOT com) if you have questions, would like to perform any of these, or to commission a new work.
